About Me
I'm Samantha (she/her), MA, LPC, and I'm thrilled to embark on this journey with you. With a Master's degree from Governors State University’s Clinical Mental Health Counseling program, I bring over 8 years of experience in the mental health field to our sessions.
My passion lies in supporting individuals through life's transitions, especially during the perinatal period. As a trained therapist in maternal mental health therapy through Postpartum Support International, I provide compassionate care to women and birthing persons facing perinatal mood disorders and anxiety. My personal experiences with infertility, postpartum anxiety, and depression have deepened my understanding of the importance of feeling supported during times of change.
I integrate trauma and attachment-informed approaches with techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create a personalized treatment plan for you. My goal is to cultivate a safe and authentic connection, empowering you to explore and embrace your true self.
In addition to perinatal support, I have extensive experience working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. Whether you're a teenager navigating the challenges of adolescence, an adult healing from childhood trauma, or an individual seeking support in various aspects of life, I'm here to help. I believe in the power of therapy to facilitate growth and transformation across the lifespan.
Beyond therapy, I find joy in hiking, cooking, and spending quality time with my husband and our two children. I'm committed to making therapy accessible and accept various insurance plans. If I don't accept your insurance, I'm happy to take self-pay clients.
Thank you for considering me as your partner on the path to healing and growth. I look forward to supporting you.
